EC STEM Lab is a group of researchers and educators providing resources, supports, and guidance on promising practices in teaching science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and integrated STEM in early childhood.

STEM & Integrated STEM

We view STEM education as inclusive of science, technology, engineering and/or math learning experiences, and we use 'integrated STEM' to refer to learning experiences that explicitly involve 2 or more of the STEM domains in an integrated way.
